Scrapbook Nerd May Reveal

Hey hey my crafty peeps!
It's my turn to reveal my projects for Scrapbook Nerd! We'll be changing it up coming in June and you'll get weekly inspiration instead of once a month!

This month I got to play with the October Afternoon Snapshots collection. I absolutely LOVE it! I still have plans for one more layout that I'll be making tonight, so stay tuned for that one!

My first layout I actually used the fab new sketch from Creative Scrappers for! I saw this sketch on my scrappy friend Ashley Horton's blog, and I knew I wanted to use it! I think this might be the first time I've done a grid on an angle like this, but I must say, I think I'm kind of loving it!

I also used the We R Memory Keepers Albums Made Easy Die Cut pack for this layout. I love the gorgeous designs on the squares and the die cuts too! I can't wait to use the bigger 4x4 designs in my Project Life album (whenever I can manage to get back to it! lol)

The stitching on this tag was super easy to do because they already come with holes! You can leave them blank and not stitch, or you can add some textural interest to your page with some twine or embroidery floss!

Here's the sketch. Isn't it fun?!

My second layout came together really quickly. I love this paper from OA, because I literally just cut them apart and arranged them on my paper! I used a few triangles and some more of those fabulous little die cut papers from the WRMK pack and a few embellishments here and there and it there you have it! I always like to finish my layouts off with a few splashes of mist too!

Linden is hilarious and I totally had to document this! Every single time Chris wears a hoodie, Linden has to have the string in his mouth! He doesn't even do anything with it once it's in his mouth, he just lets it hang there! It cracks me up!

For my last layout, I broke open my new Heidi Swapp Stencil Minis! I absolutely LOVE how these work! It's so cool that they come with 3x4 white paper too, so you don't have to cut up a big 12x12 piece to get your stencil on! ;) The paper is super durable too, which is awesome when you're playing with mists and paints and all that fun stuff that likes to warp paper!

The title was cut with my Cameo, and funny (kinda) story...the cut file was last week's freebie, and I had it in my cart, but when I went to check out, they were up for scheduled maintenance, and then by the time I came back to it, it wasn't free anymore! lol But I loved it so much I had to get it anyway, and I knew it would be perfect for these pictures of my "Little Ham" Caleb :) I have a ton of pictures of him making faces like this! Every time I pull out the camera, he has to pull a face! lol He's pretty hilarious! =

Well that's all for today! There are links below for everything I used on these layouts! Be sure to check out Scrapbook Nerd! They have the lowest prices of any Canadian Online Scrapbook store, and if you find a cheaper Canadian store, they'll match it! They really are awesome!

Blessings

Art Love: Paper Bakery Sketch 26

Good Morning Bloggers! It's time for another sketch from Paper Bakery, designed by yours truly!! I had a lot of fun creating the sketch AND the layout for this challenge and I really hope you can join us and play along too! There's a chance to win a 10 dollar Paper Bakery Gift Certificate too!

Are you ready? Okay, here's the sketch! You can flip it, rotate it, use it for a starting point for a canvas, a card or a layout! Really anything you can think of as long as it resembles the original sketch in some way shape or form! You don't have to use Paper Bakery kits, but we love it when you do!

This is the layout that I made based on the sketch. I have to say when I started playing around with this layout, I really had no idea what I was going to do, but I must admit that I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out!
I used a mash up of past and present Mixed Media Kits from Paper Bakery. The inspiration for this layout though was from the alcohol inks in the May Debate Team kit! I love how they blend together on that fabulous Ranger glossy paper!

Be sure to stop by the Paper Bakery blog to see close ups of the layout, and a little more about the goodies I used!

I really hope you can play along with us! You'll have until June 8th to link up your project on the Paper Bakery blog!

Blessings!

Jump! The lost files...

Good Morning bloggers! I know what you're thinking! 2 posts in 2 days! It's a miracle these days I know!! lol

I wanted to pop in and share another layout I made for Scrapbook Nerd using the goodies they sent me in April. I made this one so early that I forgot about it! lol I was cleaning up my scrap room about a week ago and I came across this layout I made at the beginning of April! ;)

I really love the bright colors in these papers by Bella Blvd and I thought the energy of the papers went perfectly with this picture of my son jumping as high as he could at my oldest son's sports day last year.

I don't know if you can spot it or not, but I tucked that fabulous fat washi from Hazel and Ruby behind that green star paper. It's my new fav product I think!

If you haven't yet, you definitely need to stop by Scrapbook Nerd and check out the store and their forum! They are such a fabulous group of ladies there!

Blessings

Train Station at Paper Bakery!

Good Afternoon Bloggers! I hope you're having a good long weekend (If you're living in Canada anyway!!) We have been hanging out enjoying some family time this weekend and today I'm playing catch up on housework and work work! lol

I did get a day of crafty time with my girls too! My husband is the greatest man alive! He took the boys to my mom's house to hang out there for the day while a few of my girlfriends came over and scrapped the day away! I've definitely got a keeper!!

I managed to use up the last of my Paper Bakery Scrapbook and Mixed Media kits this weekend while we were playing and made these three layouts!

You can head over to the Paper Bakery Blog to check out the whole layouts!

(This one was scraplifted by my amazingly talented friend Ashley Horton! You can see her layout HERE)

Don't forget to play along with the sketch challenge over at Paper Bakery too! There's a 10 dollar gift certificate to the store up for grabs!!

I'm off to finish the laundry now and get my Jamberry orders in! Hoping to get some yard work done today too! It's a gorgeous day out!

Blessings!!

White Plus One

Good Morning bloggers!

I just wanted to pop in and share another quick layout I made on National Scrapbook Day. I managed to get 3 done all together on Saturday, which wasn't too bad considering I actually had to do other grown up stuff too! lol

I made this using the sketch over at Studio Calico, and the challenge at Scrapbook Nerd (White Plus One)

I've tried a couple times to get a decent picture of this, but this is as good as it gets!

Well, Linden just woke up, so I'm off!

Blessings

Scrapbook Nerd NSD!!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day my Crafty Peeps!!

Wow! It's been a loooong time since I've blogged anything! I've been super busy with my new business! I've recently become an Independent Consultant for Jamberry Nails! I am totally in LOVE with this product! As a busy mom I NEVER put on nail polish because it always gets smudged before it dries and then chips off in a day! It's just not worth the time it takes to put it on! But Jamberry has wraps that have amazing designs on them and they stay on your fingernails for  up to 2 weeks! And as a scrapbooker, I LOVE that some of the patterns are like scrapbook paper! lol

Those are my nails right now! How cool is that?!

Well, enough about nails! I was so excited to get some time to scrapbook last night! I made this layout for my challenge over at Scrapbook Nerd! We're having an Online Crop to celebrate National Scrapbook Day and we're having a ton of challenges and giving away a ton of prizes to celebrate! Including a 50 dollar gift certificate to the Scrapbook Nerd store!!

I did a tic tac toe challenge, but I'm not going to tell you what you had to use...you have to go over to Scrapbook Nerd and find out!! I will tell you that I managed to use ALL of the items on my layout! Can you guess what they are?!

Have you ever gotten professional pictures taken and ended up with a million wallet sizes in your package? This was what happened when we had Ethan. He was our first and of course you just "have to" buy the biggest package of pictures because you NEED 50 of the same shot right?! lol I kind of feel bad for our other kids because other than the 2 month baby pictures that we got of them, we really didn't do any other professional pictures until last year! I guess that's the way it goes! lol

This next layout was for my second challenge over at Scrapbook Nerd. It's a Mood Board Challenge! and again, that's all I'm saying! You NEED to go over there and check it out! Oh, and did I mention that they're giving a special 40% off discount code to participants of the crop?! That's right! So get your butts over there and get scrappin with us!! lol

I used my Paper Bakery Train Station Kit for this one and that fabulous frame is from Southern Ridge Trading Company! They're a new chipboard company that I think I'm falling in love with!

My last layout I made today, to play along with a scraplift challenge that is part of the crop at Scrapbook Nerd also! I used another fab piece of chipboard from Southern Ridge too!

Well that's it for now, I'm going back to my scrap table to see if I can clear off enough space to play some more!! Have a great NSD!!

Blessings
