Nothing Else Matters

Good Morning! I hope you're enjoying your Sunday morning! It's time again for another fabulous sketch from the girls at Scrap & Music!!

And this time, the song to play along is....

(click on the song to see the lyrics)

I found this picture of Kieran at Christmas a couple years ago (I realized after I used my date stamp that I had the wrong year! ooops! Funny thing was I made 3 Christmas layouts from the same year and got it wrong on each one! My husband says "well at least you're consistent" lol)

Anyway, this was his second Christmas and it was the first time that he really got to have chocolate and he was in love! He didn't really care too much about anything else, but his chocolate. That's why I thought this picture would be perfect for the title "Nothing Else Matters" because honestly, nothing else did! lol

I am loving all things stars lately, and these wood veneer stars from Studio Calico are no exception!

How awesome is that adorable camera stamp from Evalicious?! Did I mention I have a *tiny* addiction to camera stamps?!

Well, there you have it! I really hope you play along with us this time! Don't forget to pop by the Scrap & Music blog to check out all the other fabulous DT member's layouts! There is a serious amount of inspiration there!!

Blessings,

Sarah

Clip Board Advent Calendar

Hi Everyone! I hope the holiday season finds you well! I'm crazy busy right now, as it's my oldest son's 8th birthday today!! Yup! A Christmas baby! He loves having it so close to Christmas because he gets a lot of birthday parties that way!! lol

I wanted to pop in and show you a project I just finished. I had originally planned on making two of these and giving them to the boy's teacher's as gifts, but I kinda decided I would make these about 4 days ago!! lol So, needless to say, they didn't get done in time, and I only got one done, so I decided to keep it for myself! I actually don't have any of the projects that I make (I'm always giving them away!), so I'm happy about this one!

I found one on Pinterest and it gave me this idea:

I used my Cameo to die cut all the tags, title, circles and tree and the stamp set is a Christmas Countdown one from Unity. I used the Crate Paper Bundled Up paper pack too.

I'm really happy with how this turned out!! Do you have an advent at your house that you take out at Christmas?

Well, I'm off to celebrate with my son!!

Have a very Merry Christmas Everyone

Blessings!!

Scrap & Music Sketch 17

It's time for another sketch and song at Scrap & Music!! I really had a lot of fun playing with this sketch and it really stretched my creativity!! I don't often use so many small pictures in a layout, but I really love the way it turned out!!

Here's the sketch:

And the song is:

Madonna, Like a Prayer

I made my layout about the day our fourth son Linden

was born. Until he was born, our family didn't feel

complete to me. I knew that I wanted a fourth child. I used

the title "Feels Like Home" because when he was born

our family was complete and it "feels like home"

Well there you have it! I really hope you play along with this sketch challenge! Go head on over to Scrap & Music  and check out the rest of the DT's fabulous work and get the details on the challenge!!

Blessings

Simple Joys

Hi Everyone! I hope you're all enjoying the holiday season! I am really having fun this year with my boys! Tonight we're having a Christmas movie night and I'm going to make snowman pizzas and Grinch Floats :) Our little elf Buddy has been up to some fiascoes too! He has made snow angels in our kitchen, become an amateur photographer and last night he sat on top of my clip it up. I think he was trying to protect my scrapbooking supplies from the boys! lol They were wrapping presents with my washi tape today...when I mean wrapping, they were using my washi tape to cover an entire toy! They seem to think lately that they don't have to ask to use my stuff either...I guess Buddy was trying to make sure they behaved around my desk! lol

Here's a few pictures of what he's been up to since he came to our house.

I also wanted to show you a layout I made to play along with the Artful Delight sketch this month and also the ladies over at Scrap Our Stash

Here's the sketch:

Scrap Our Stash wanted us to scrap about our family or someone in our family and use a phrase from this word art:

They also wanted us to use 4 photo corners from our stash. Now believe it or not I don't actually have any photo corners in my stash, so I cut 4 out of some patterned paper! there are four there, but one kind of  ended up getting covered with embellishments so it's not so easy to see! Anyway, here's my layout of my son Caleb and a Christmas cracker. He just loves these things! That's why I thought the title "simple joys" would be perfect for this layout.

Here's some close ups:

Well I'm off to go work on some of my December Daily album!

So Blessed

Well, I actually had some kid free time today to scrapbook (while my dishes sat in the sink not being washed! lol), so I thought I would play along with the Paper Bakery and their new sketch!

I've been really in the mood to scrap my Christmas layouts, and I actually haven't done a 12x12 Christmas layout in a loooooong time, because I am usually too busy doing my December Daily album. Well I guess I'm just going all out this year because I've managed to do both!
These pictures are from last year (I think! Is it bad that I can't figure it out?!)

I'm really loving the new Crate Paper Christmas line! Add some stitching, some fabulous Paper Bakery flair, and a few other embellies and we're good to go! This layout came together really quickly actually! I managed to finish it in one baby nap! lol

Here's some close ups:

I hope you like it! I'm loving that sketch! Don't forget to go play along with them! Also there's still time to play along with us over at Scrap & Music too!

Blessings!

More December Daily

Hey there Bloggers! I hope you're all busy getting ready for the Holidays!! I know I am, and I'm kinda loving it this year!
I just wanted to pop in and show you some more of my December Daily pages that I have prepped for the month. This is the first time I'm been so ahead of the game on my DD album! Usually I'm making it in January!! This is a pretty picture heavy post, so I won't blab too long!!

I know this one doesn't look too Christmasy, but I did that on purpose because it's my oldest son's birthday on December 23rd, so I wanted to make a page just for him in my album!

This is just a filler page in the front because I had two pictures for my first page, so I put the first one on the back of this page.

These are the first of the completed pages with pictures and journaling
Sorry this picture is kind of blurry!

I'm going to link this up over at Life.Paper.Scrapbook for their project life-traditions challenge.

Hope you're getting into the Christmas Spirit!

Blessings
