Go. See. Do. (Scrapbook Nerd Summer Camp)

Hey there Campers! 

I hope you've been playing along with us at the Scrapbook Nerd Summer Camp! If not, get your butts over there and get scrapping! There's a ton of challenges going on, including this new one: On the Road! We want to see your travel inspired creations like this one. I have to admit, I've never scrapped a picture that didn't have a person or an animal in it, but I quite like it!

I gave my Cameo a workout with this layout! I got out my trusty silhouette sketch pens and used it for this spiral circle that's part of the "going in circles" cut file from The Cut Shoppe. It reminds me of a spirograph! Then I grabbed out my Faber Castel Pitt Pen and my water pen and colored in the lines (mostly) to give it that watercolour kind of look. I really love the way it turned out!

I also used my Cameo for the title. I just LOVE this file from the "Let's Talk Summer" cut file in The Cut Shoppe.

Summer and Slurpees

I wanted to pop in and share a layout with you that I made for Fleur's Scrapbook Nerd Summer Camp Challenge: "Summer Photos". All you have to do is scrap something that means Summer to you! 

When I was a kid, summer meant slurpees! So I thought this picture of Kieran slurpin back on his slurpee like it was going out of style was a perfect picture to use for this challenge!

Scrapbook Nerd DT: Hot Fun in the Summertime

Hey there bloggers!! I just wanted to pop in quickly and share my latest layout I made for Scrapbook Nerd!! I just have to say, that I LOVE the ladies at Scrapbook Nerd! The customer service there is unbelievable!! I ordered something while I was on my holiday, and came home to it already waiting for me!! It didn't even take a week to get here! And if you know our postal system, then that's amazing! They really work hard to make sure you can play with your scrappy goodies as soon as possible!! 

Here's a layout I made using the Simple Stories Good Day Sunshine collection! It's my absolute FAV summer collection right now! 

I used some white embossing paste and mixed it with various colours of spray mist to get this fab orange colour that I used with the Tim Holtz stencil! Love the way it turned out!

Well, I'm off! Have to clean the house now!! Booo, I know!! lol

We Wear Short Shorts ;)

 Good Morning Bloggers!! 

Are you ready for Summer Camp Nerd Style?! We had so much fun last year that we knew we wanted to do it again! So head on over to Scrapbook Nerd Forum and join the fun! There's lots of prizes up for grabs including a 50 dollar grand prize gift certificate to the store, so you definitely don't want to miss out!! 

My first challenge is a Campfire Song challenge! You have to create a layout using song lyrics for your title! Any song will do!  I thought this song would be perfect for this hilarious picture of Kieran wearing the shortest shorts I've ever seen! When I came to pick him up from preschool his teacher told me that he had gotten his pants wet when they went to the lake and these shorts were all she had for him to wear! I laughed so hard when I saw him wearing them! He wouldn't let me take a picture of him wearing them until I told him I'd give him a dime! Then he happily smiled for the camera! lol What he will do for money!
