2 non kid related layouts?! whaaaaaat?!

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to pop in today and share the last couple layouts I made using the Paper Bakery Love Potion #9 Kit. This kit is awesome!! I love the vintage vibe to it and it was really versatile to work with too!

This first layout I made to document a very rare occurrence for me! Time alone! I know right?! It's so rare I just had to photograph it! I was supposed to be going along with Ethan's class to the library, but when I got there they had enough adults, so I just went to the coffee shop that's attached to the library and had lunch and a yummy coffee! I didn't realize until I got home that the chocolate syrup was in the shape of a heart! lol Otherwise I might have actually taken the picture with the heart the right side up!!

I used a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy for this layout:

For my second layout, I used the current Sketch over at the Paper Bakery. There's still a little bit of time to play along and the odds are pretty good because we only have 5 entries this time, so get over there and get scrappin!! ;)

I used a stencil I had from the December Time's Square Paper Bakery Scrapbook kit, and some Martha Stewart Texture Paste. Then I coloured the paste with my glimmer mist from my Love Potion #9 Mixed Media  kit. I could have added it before, but it was an after thought!

I just got my February Umbrella Rain kits in the mail yesterday, so I'm off to play!!

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave me some love!! Your comments make my day!!

Project Life Weeks 3-4

Hi Everyone! I'm finally starting to catch up on my project life album! I'm currently working on week 5, but I wanted to show you weeks 3 and 4. I used my January Paper Bakery Capture 365 Kit to do these two spreads.

This post is very picture heavy, so I'm going to keep the talking to a minimum!

Some close ups: Kieran wanted to help ;)

Week Four:

More Close ups:

Well there you have it! Everything in these layouts was from the kit, except the stamps. Some are from the Paper Bakery and some are from my stash :)

Have an awesome day!

You Are My Happiness

Good Morning!
I just finished up using my last full sheet of paper of my Paper Bakery January Scrapbook Kit and I wanted to share the layout I made. It actually wasn't a full 12x12 I had left, but I had enough to make an 8.5x11 layout and I have to say, I'm starting to really like this format!

I used my January Mixed Media kit for this layout also. I am loving the look of that awesome Damask stencil with the black gesso! I've never used black gesso before I got it in my kit, but it gives such a beautiful texture rather than using paint, I think I am converted!! It has such a nice opaqueness to it also, and I love how the mist shows up on top of it slightly too!

Not all of the products I used for this layout are from the kits. I actually used this fat roll of chevron washi tape to tape down my stencil while I was painting the damask image onto my layout. I had ripped it in half width wise, but I didn't want to waste it, so I used it as a frame on my layout!

The purple hearts and "happiness" title are from a dear lizzy 6x6 paper pack and I also used another stencil on the background from Dyan Reavely.

The flair is from the Get Messy flair set in the Paper Bakery Shop. I sooo love this flair set!

This layout is loosely based on a sketch over at Scrap Friends. I absolutely love this sketch!

Well, I'm off to organize my house! I'm feeling the "Spring Cleaning" urge lately!!

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!!

Blessings

Cards?! Whaaaa?!

Good Afternoon my crafty Peeps!!

I just love my husband!! He took the kids all day on Sunday so I could get together with my girlfriends and play, and then this afternoon he took our only son that wasn't in school with him to his union meeting so I could have a break before he goes back to work tomorrow! I think he's a keeper don't you?!

So since I had some time this afternoon to play, I got out what I had left of my Paper Bakery Scrapbook kit and Capture 365 kit, and made these cards! These kits are AWESOME!! I love the vintage flair they have to them! Not to mention they are totally FULL of goodies!! With these two kits I've made 4 layouts, 2 project life spreads, and 3 cards and I still have TONS of supplies left over!

Alright, on with the cards! They're mostly generic cards that can be used for anything, which is what I like! It's good to have a bit of a stash of cards on hand so you can quickly pop a "happy birthday" or "wish you were here" sentiment on them and throw them in the mail!

This one isn't so generic, but I just love that vintage girl and I thought the "you & me" sentiment went perfectly with this one!

I think this card would be so cute to send to a girlfriend!

These cards came together so quickly and easily! That's the beauty of using a kit! There are still some of these kits available at the shop, but if you want to guarantee that you get your favourite kits when they come out, be sure to sign up for a subscription!!

Well, that's all for today! I'll stop in tomorrow to show you the layouts I made today too, but I've got to go and do some laundry before it starts to take over my house!! Laundry and I definitely don't get along, and a family of 6 definitely creates a lot of it unfortunately!!! Thank God for giant front loaders! It's almost like having a laundry mat in my basement!! lol

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave me some love!!

February Scrapbook Nerd Reveal

Hey there my fellow Nerds! I'm up today at Scrapbook Nerd with my kit reveal! This month they gave me Crate Paper's Bundled Up collection to work with. This is one of my favourite holiday collections so far! I love that you can use it for winter layouts, Christmas layouts and everyday layouts too!

For my first layout, I used this fab sketch from Creative Scrappers

"My 3 Snow Angels"

I wanted to try the Ferro metalic texture paint on this layout, so I got out my Tim Holtz star stencil and a putty knife and painted it on in a few different places on this layout. That was the first time I had ever tried this stuff, and I tell you, I'm totally hooked! I LOVE it! The texture it gives is amazing and it just looks so cool!

For my second layout, I scraplifted another one of Juliana Michael's layouts! I absolutely LOVED this one and I really wanted to add my own take to it!

You would never even know that this was a winter/holiday paper line from this layout! I really like that you can stretch your stash with this line and use it for more than what it's made for!

"Early Morning Kisses"

Again I used a different colour of the Ferro Metalic Texture paint here and the Tim Holtz clock stencil. Sooooo loving it!

For this last layout I used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches

"Sleigh Ride"

Last weekend we took the kids for a sleigh ride and I couldn't wait to scrapbook these photos! This paper was perfect for it I do believe!!

I do hope you stop by the Scrapbook Nerd forum and check out the rest of the design team's reveals! There are some fabulous layouts and tons of inspiration!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Blessings,
