The Cut Shoppe and Creative Scrappers!

Hey everyone! 

I'm really excited that The Cut Shoppe is teaming up with Creative Scrappers for a special sketch reveal! Check out this fabulous sketch!! Isn't it awesome?! 

If you haven't noticed lately I'm a little bit obsessed with this chevron paper from Echo Park! I can't stop using it on almost every layout! LOL! 

I used this super fun hello border from "The Borderlines" cut file to break up the pictures on the top and the bottom. I also thought this title from the "Selfies and Usies" cut file was perfect for these super cute pictures of my sister and Caleb taking these goofy pictures!

Hoppin With The Cut Shoppe!!

Hiya Bloggers and Welcome to The Cut Shoppe Blog Hop!

 For this layout I used The Cut Shoppe's sketch too! Did you know they have a sketch challenge going on for the month of August?! Well now you do! lol!

I used a lot of different cut files for this layout. I love that The Cut Shoppe's files are so diverse they can be used with a bunch of different files, but they also stand alone very well too! I really can't get enough of these files!

I am seriously in love with the "It's a Snap" set! Those camera shutters with the hearts in the middle are just so stinkin cute I almost can't even stand it! I cut them out in black, but I also ungrouped the file in the Silhouette Studio and just cut out the teeny hearts to scatter around my page in pops of pink. I kinda love it! :)

The polaroid frame is also part of that set, and if you can imagine, there's even more on that file that I didn't even use! Awesome right?!

Happy Birthday Gia!! (A Blog Hop From the Clique! and a freebie!!)

Good Morning Bloggers!! 

Today is a super fun day because it's Gia's birthday! So we surprised her with some fun birthday cards and a little blog share to celebrate!  She is such a wonderful person and amazingly talented crafter, it was an honor to be a part of this blog share for her!!

I was watching some really fun videos that Gia made over at the Clique Kits Summer School about watercoloring recently, so I thought it would be perfect to make her a card using my watercolors! I always love breaking out all the paints and inks and getting messy!! It's like therapy to me! ;)

I had a few things left over from the Midsummer Night's Dream kit like this super fun hashtag and a bit of paper scraps, so I fussy cut this adorable vintage typewriter and stamped the "news flash!" on it then added the die cut "Happy Birthday" to finish it off!

I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out! I hope you like it Gia!!

Go. See. Do. (Scrapbook Nerd Summer Camp)

Hey there Campers! 

I hope you've been playing along with us at the Scrapbook Nerd Summer Camp! If not, get your butts over there and get scrapping! There's a ton of challenges going on, including this new one: On the Road! We want to see your travel inspired creations like this one. I have to admit, I've never scrapped a picture that didn't have a person or an animal in it, but I quite like it!

I gave my Cameo a workout with this layout! I got out my trusty silhouette sketch pens and used it for this spiral circle that's part of the "going in circles" cut file from The Cut Shoppe. It reminds me of a spirograph! Then I grabbed out my Faber Castel Pitt Pen and my water pen and colored in the lines (mostly) to give it that watercolour kind of look. I really love the way it turned out!

I also used my Cameo for the title. I just LOVE this file from the "Let's Talk Summer" cut file in The Cut Shoppe.

February Scrapbook Nerd Reveal

Hey there my fellow Nerds! I'm up today at Scrapbook Nerd with my kit reveal! This month they gave me Crate Paper's Bundled Up collection to work with. This is one of my favourite holiday collections so far! I love that you can use it for winter layouts, Christmas layouts and everyday layouts too!

For my first layout, I used this fab sketch from Creative Scrappers. 

"My 3 Snow Angels"

I wanted to try the Ferro metalic texture paint on this layout, so I got out my Tim Holtz star stencil and a putty knife and painted it on in a few different places on this layout. That was the first time I had ever tried this stuff, and I tell you, I'm totally hooked! I LOVE it! The texture it gives is amazing and it just looks so cool!

For my second layout, I scraplifted another one of Juliana Michael's layouts! I absolutely LOVED this one and I really wanted to add my own take to it! 

You would never even know that this was a winter/holiday paper line from this layout! I really like that you can stretch your stash with this line and use it for more than what it's made for!

"Early Morning Kisses"

Again I used a different colour of the Ferro Metalic Texture paint here and the Tim Holtz clock stencil. Sooooo loving it!

For this last layout I used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches

"Sleigh Ride"

Last weekend we took the kids for a sleigh ride and I couldn't wait to scrapbook these photos! This paper was perfect for it I do believe!!
