Clique Kits Pep Rally featuring J'Adore!

Good Morning!! I always love a good blog share and I can't WAIT for this one! The J'Adore kit has been my FAV FAV FAV Kit so far!!

The challenge:  Add a POP of Neon to your project! This month's kit is filled with beautiful pastels contrasted with black and white. It also mixes and matches BOLD patterns with soft watercolor brush strokes.
I think I used a POP of Neon in every one of my layouts this month! My first layout

My first layout was inspired by Kat's awesome sketch that she made for this month's anything goes challenge!

I actually made a process video for this one, but realized after I was done that it only recorded 13 minutes of it! :( Oh well, I'll try again next time!

I am in LOVE with this paper!! I haven't felt like I didn't even want to use it because I love it so much and I only have one in a long time! I need to get more for my collection! lol  I thought it was so perfect for this picture of my youngest playing with paint and marbles! I used a stencil and some modeling paste that I coloured layered underneath the picture and hand cut the word Art. I also used a super cute chalkboard heart from the Clique Kits store!

For this layout I used one of the cut files that comes with the kit. these divided shapes are so in right now and I love piecing them with different patterns to make a cool background!
For this layout, I was playing around with typography and stamps and I made that my focal point. I couldn't believe that Linden actually fell asleep in the middle of his lunch! Poor little guy! I guess that's what happens when you don't nap! lol

For this last layout, I went with an 8.5x11 and I decided to do one about my weight loss/exercise journey...I saw this quote on a mug and I knew I wanted to use it on this layout! I love how it turned out!

Well there you have it! I have had so much fun with this kit!! Thanks for stopping by! And don't forget to leave some love on everyone's blogs for a chance to win some goodies!!

Here's the blog line up!  Now onto Marcia's blog!

Clique Kits Tailor Made Pep Rally!

Good Morning Bloggers!! It's Pep Rally time!! I can't wait to go and check out what everyone has made with this kit! It has been my absolute FAV so far! I think I say that every time I see the new kits, but seriously, this really is my fav! lol You should have come here from the ever so talented Lacey's Blog. If you didn't, then you should definitely go start from the Clique Kits Blog and hop with us for a chance to win a prize!!

The challenge:  In the true spirit of Tailor Made, we want to see something sewn, stitched, embroidered, quilted, knitted, or crocheted on your project this month!  For extra credit, share some goals, hopes and dreams for the new year, or even your "word" of the year if you choose one.

I didn't do  the extra credit, but I definitely stiched all over these layouts! I just got a new sewing machine for Christmas so chances are, if I made it, it's got sewing on it! lol

By the time I made these two layouts, I was pretty much out of embellishments from the kit, so I used some of my extras that I had from the Homecoming kit. I still had tons left from that one because I just still haven't had a chance to use it! :(

I have had so much fun with this kit! It's so jam packed full of goodies, I managed to get 4 layouts, my PL title page and a double PL spread all with this one kit! Awesome!  Now, you should be off to the amazing Bonita Rose!! I'm off to check out all the inspiration!!

Snips and Snails

Hey Bloggers!! I wanted to pop in and share a layout I made for The Cut Shoppe quite a few weeks ago! It totally escaped my pre posting radar! lol

I have to say this is one of my favourite pictures of my youngest son Linden. I just LOVE candid shots and this one with his cute little arm rolls and his little chubby baby body was definitely one that needed to be scrapped!

I used the "Oh Baby" cut file for this layout, but I changed it around a little bit. That's what I love about digital die cutting! You're totally not even limited to the shapes that you purchase! You can ungroup them and change them around to suit your layout! It's so fun!

Instead of using the cut file in it's original form, I ungrouped it and took out the words that were originally in it. Then I added the Snips and Snails that come in the same file and made it fit inside the star!

I backed the star with some white paper covered in a super fun washi tape from the new Echo Park "Creative Agenda" line.  Then I outlined it with a Slick Writer pen from American Crafts so it would stand out more!

I love everything about this cut file! I love the softness of it. Perfect for baby boy pages!

I'm off to a crop this weekend! Wish me luck because I messed up my back and I can't sit for very long without being in massive pain :( I'm experimenting with different drugs to see how they work! lol that sounds terrible I know, but it's not a muscular thing, I popped out a rib in my upper back, so Advil and Tylenol don't seem to help...either do muscle relaxants...so next up is the good stuff and hopefully I can find a way to make the pain go away without feeling too stoned to scrap! The last time I took Percocet I couldn't even make dinner! lol I'm scared to try them!

Anyway,  have a good weekend!!

The Cut Shoppe (Cutest Little Coffee Drinker!)

Hello My Lovelies!

I'm popping in today to share a layout that was on The Cut Shoppe blog a few days ago! I am in love with this "Geo to Go" cut file! It's so fun! I used it as a layer under my photo, and I also used the geo tag cut outs from the file and painted them black with the super fun chalkboard paint from my Clique Kits kit and used them as journaling spots! I really love how it turned out!

This cut file will definitely be one I use again and again! It's just such a versatile cut file! I can totally see it being used for travel themed layouts, or rainy day layouts, spring, summer, really the possibilities are endless!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Photo Bomb!! (and a tutorial)

 Good Morning my Crafty Beauties!
I'm up on The Cut Shoppe blog with this fun layout I made of our oldest son using the Captured on Camera cut file as a background!! Head on over there to check out the tutorial on how the background was done!

Our oldest son Ethan has decided that he likes to photo bomb every picture I take! Sometimes it's funny, other times it's just downright annoying! Especially when I'm trying to get a picture of one of our other boys who aren't exactly easy to photograph these days! This particular photo bomb really cracked me up though!

I absolutely LOVE this Ocean Melody collection from Webster's Pages and I was really excited to finally crack it open on this layout! Mind you, I only used one piece of paper from it, but I love it all the same! lol

The fun cork shapes, twine, enamel dots and the fab wood heart were from my Clique Kits Glam Camp kit, and of course I had to use some of those awesome Epiphany Crafts bubble caps too!

I just got this adorable little arrow punch from Studio Calico and I couldn't wait to use it! I think it adds the perfect touch to this layout!

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to head on over to The Cut Shoppe Blog and check out my tutorial!!

The Cut Shoppe and Creative Scrappers!

Hey everyone!

I'm really excited that The Cut Shoppe is teaming up with Creative Scrappers for a special sketch reveal! Check out this fabulous sketch!! Isn't it awesome?!

If you haven't noticed lately I'm a little bit obsessed with this chevron paper from Echo Park! I can't stop using it on almost every layout! LOL!

I used this super fun hello border from "The Borderlines" cut file to break up the pictures on the top and the bottom. I also thought this title from the "Selfies and Usies" cut file was perfect for these super cute pictures of my sister and Caleb taking these goofy pictures!

Now don't forget to play along with Sketch 267 between now and August 31st! The Cut Shoppe will be giving away a 20.00 gift certificate to the store to one randomly chosen winner!!

P.S. I Love You

Good Morning!

I wanted to stop by to share a layout that was on The Cut Shoppe blog yesterday using the super cute cut file  "A Walk in the Clouds" and "Let Love In" Printables!! I am in love with both of these files!!  I'm on a vellum kick lately and I love the dreamy feel it gives to this layout of my 8 year old reading to his two younger brothers before bed!

I cut the clouds out from the bokeh vellum from Crate paper. I loved that paper so much I just had to buy two! lol  I really love how it turned out!

I had some of these chipboard clouds from October Afternoon kickin around, so I stamped them with a text background stamp and some mint ink to add a little interest!

I also printed the printable on vellum and I have to say, I'm hooked! So love the softness of vellum! It's my new bff ;)

Thank you so much for stopping by! I really appreciate you taking the time to visit my little neck of the web!
Blessings

Life is Good

Good Morning hot bliggity bloggers! ha!

I wanted to share a layout I made using this fabulous AC Dear Lizzy Wood Veneer paper that I got from Scrapbook Nerd I was in love with it when I saw it, but I have to admit it's a little girly, and with 4 boys it's hard to come by girly things to scrap about!! lol I thought this picture of Linden and I would be perfect for it though since I was in it, I could get away with some flowers and hearts and pink! HA!

.
I love the possibilities of this wood veneer paper! You could leave it raw, or bling it up as much as you want! It was super fun to play with!

Thanks for stopping by!!
