A New Sketch Up At the Paper Bakery!!

Good Morning Bloggers!
It is such a gorgeous day here today! I'm so happy that Spring is finally here!! I'm enjoying a lovely cup of coffee and contemplating getting ready for the day! (I love lazy Sunday mornings!)

It's time for another sketch over at the Paper Bakery. Something new to our sketches...they've been created by me! I thought I'd give sketch making a try, and I have to say, I kinda love it! I never thought I would because I don't usually find being on the computer to be a very creative outlet for me, but so far, I have really been having fun with it!

This is the second sketch I've made. I hope it inspires you to play along with us! And don't think you have to make a scrapbook layout...you can use this sketch for anything that inspires you! Album covers, cards, canvases, you name it!

I'm just about finished using my Daylight Savings Scrapbook Kit from the Paper Bakery. I have had soooo much fun with this kit! I just love the versatility of it, and I also really enjoy being pushed out of my box! These colours aren't my usual style, but I have soooo loved using them! That's one of the great things about subscribing to a kit club, you get products that are all designed to be used together, but they can be used in so many different ways, and with so many different styles of scrapping all in one kit!

I used some bits and pieces from my Daylight Savings Mixed Media kit for this layout too. I also used a super cute Exclusive Paper Bakery stencil from the February Capture 365 Kit.  The polka dot paper was actually just plain with scissors on it, but I used the stencil and my chalkboard paint with a makeup sponge and just pounced it over top of the stencil. I really love the way it came out! Totally loving the colour of that chalkboard paint too! Good thing, because the kit came with a GIANT bottle of it!

I just got the new Amy Tangerine Plus One Die set and I'm LOOOVING it! The Camera and the "Love" were cut with it.

Oh, and how cute is that clock flair from the Paper Bakery?! Looove it!

Well, that's it for today! You have 2 weeks to create something based on this sketch and link it up HERE for a chance to win a 10 dollar store voucher for the Paper Bakery!!

Blessings!!

March Paper Bakery Kits

Hi Bloggers!

I just wanted to pop in and share my Paper Bakery projects that I made using the FABULOUS March Kits "Daylight Savings". I just LOVED playing with the Mixed Media Kit this month! It was loaded with a TON of super cool goodies from chevron tissue paper to yellow chalkboard paint complete with chalk!!  Now I've already posted some of these projects on my blog, but I just wanted to show you just how many projects you can get done with 2 kits!
Keep in mind I could easily still make 3 or 4 more layouts using the patterned paper I have left, not to mention I have TONS of fun paints and fresco flakes and all kinds of mixed media left too! That's one thing I love about the Mixed Media kit. You get these full pots of paint and gellatos and mica paints and mists and all kinds of cool stuff that you can use on countless projects well after the rest of your kit items are used! It totally rocks!!

My first project was a refurbished old frame that went from this:

To this: I just love how fun and funky the frame looks with the chalkboard paint and the chevron tissue paper!

I made a couple layouts too using both the Scrapbook Kit and the Mixed Media Kit.

This layout was made with scraps from last months Mixed Media and Scrapbook kits and this months kits too! I even used a card from the Capture 365 kit from February too! This is totally not my usual colour scheme, but I'm really loving how the colours go together :)

Do you know that with your subscription to any of the Paper Bakery kits you get exclusive Printables and Cut Files?! This month we got these fabulous Printables:

I just love the "Unbelievable" one! It totally reminds me of that EMF song! So when I saw it, I knew I wanted to use it as my title :)

I'm in love with that pink chevron canvas tag! It was in my February Mixed Media kit and I used the chevron stencil from that kit with the mists that came with it and made it all purdy ;)

This was another project I did using both the Scrapbook and Mixed Media kits. I am in love with this cute little mini!

That's all for these kits for now, but I am totally needing to do some crafting tonight, so I will definitely be back to show you what I did with the rest of these kits later this week!!

Blessings,

Playing with Fancy Pants

Good Morning Bloggers!!

I wanted to pop in to show you the projects I created this month with the goodies the fabulous ladies over at Scrapbook Nerd gave me to play with.

This month they gave me the Fancy Pants collection "Collecting Moments". I really love the vintage vibe of this collection. They have some really fun retro embellishments!

I've been really into 8.5x11 layouts lately. I love how quickly they come together. I knew that these photos of Ethan would be perfect for this paper and I was right! Love how they go together :)

My second layout is also of Ethan. This picture was taken when we went on a sleigh ride this winter. I just love how it shows off his freckles...they're my favourite!  I am totally in love with the Amy Tangerine Phrase Thickers! I think I might need to get another pack of them! They're almost gone!

This was another photo from our sleigh ride. This picture of Kieran just makes me melt! I love that kid so much!

I also put together a couple cards with this collection. I love the frames and die cut pieces! The flair pack is perfect for embellishments for cards too!

I almost forgot! The Nerds are hosting another online crop starting this weekend! It's going to be a ton of fun because it's inspired by one of my favourite authors....DR. SEUSS!! There's going to be Seuss inspired challenges and games and lots of prizes to be won, so don't forget to stop over and register in the forum so you can play along! You're not going to want to miss this!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Blessings

Scrap & Music Sketch #24

Hola Bloggers!!
I wanted to pop in today and share Sketch #24 from Scrap & Music! Sadly, it's my last reveal for Scrap & Music. I've had a lot of fun being a part of their design team, but I'm finding 4 kids and 3 design teams is just too much!! lol So, I didn't reapply for the next term on the team. I can't wait to see who is on the new DT though! They're such a talented group of ladies!!

Ok, onto the sketch!

Isn't it a fab sketch?! The song we're playing with this time is Jack Johnson's Better Together. Love this song!

Here's my layout that I made for the reveal: I'm really loving the Crate Paper Boy's Rule line and most of this layout is made with this line.

I hope you play along with us! Be sure to stop by the Scrap & Music blog for some SERIOUS inspiration!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving me some love!

Blessings

New Sketch up at Paper Bakery!!

Good Morning my crafty peeps! There is a new sketch up at the Paper Bakery blog and you can win a 10 dollar store credit just for getting crafty with us!!

Isn't it a fun sketch?!

Here's what I made with it:

I used my Paper Bakery Umbrella Rain Scrapbook kit for this layout. I love that wood veneer frame! It actually has a cute little laser cut bow on the left hand side of it, but I thought it was a little too girly for a layout of my son (even though I've used pink butterlies, flowers and hearts! lol I just thought the bow might just be putting it over the edge I guess!!) Not to worry, I just put one of the fabulous flair buttons over top of it (did I mention that this month's kit comes with a WHOLE PACK OF FLAIR?! Whaaaaaa?! I know right?! craziness!) and then the bow is gone!

As someone who is kind of obsessed with butterflies, I was super excited to see this exclusive stencil in the scrapbook kit this month! I absolutely LOVE it!

I also used the exclusive cut files for March on this layout too! Loving those flowers!

Those cute epoxy hearts aren't from the kit, but they can be found at the shop.

The only other products that I used that weren't from my stash are the wood veneer hearts (studio calico).

I hope you join us and play along with this sketch! You have until March 15th to link it up on the blog!

Happy Scrapping!!

You Are My Happiness

Good Morning!
I just finished up using my last full sheet of paper of my Paper Bakery January Scrapbook Kit and I wanted to share the layout I made. It actually wasn't a full 12x12 I had left, but I had enough to make an 8.5x11 layout and I have to say, I'm starting to really like this format!

I used my January Mixed Media kit for this layout also. I am loving the look of that awesome Damask stencil with the black gesso! I've never used black gesso before I got it in my kit, but it gives such a beautiful texture rather than using paint, I think I am converted!! It has such a nice opaqueness to it also, and I love how the mist shows up on top of it slightly too!

Not all of the products I used for this layout are from the kits. I actually used this fat roll of chevron washi tape to tape down my stencil while I was painting the damask image onto my layout. I had ripped it in half width wise, but I didn't want to waste it, so I used it as a frame on my layout!

The purple hearts and "happiness" title are from a dear lizzy 6x6 paper pack and I also used another stencil on the background from Dyan Reavely.

The flair is from the Get Messy flair set in the Paper Bakery Shop. I sooo love this flair set!

This layout is loosely based on a sketch over at Scrap Friends. I absolutely love this sketch!

Well, I'm off to organize my house! I'm feeling the "Spring Cleaning" urge lately!!

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!!

Blessings
