Clique Kits Tailor Made Pep Rally!

Good Morning Bloggers!! It's Pep Rally time!! I can't wait to go and check out what everyone has made with this kit! It has been my absolute FAV so far! I think I say that every time I see the new kits, but seriously, this really is my fav! lol You should have come here from the ever so talented Lacey's Blog. If you didn't, then you should definitely go start from the Clique Kits Blog and hop with us for a chance to win a prize!!

The challenge:  In the true spirit of Tailor Made, we want to see something sewn, stitched, embroidered, quilted, knitted, or crocheted on your project this month!  For extra credit, share some goals, hopes and dreams for the new year, or even your "word" of the year if you choose one.

I didn't do  the extra credit, but I definitely stiched all over these layouts! I just got a new sewing machine for Christmas so chances are, if I made it, it's got sewing on it! lol

By the time I made these two layouts, I was pretty much out of embellishments from the kit, so I used some of my extras that I had from the Homecoming kit. I still had tons left from that one because I just still haven't had a chance to use it! :(

I have had so much fun with this kit! It's so jam packed full of goodies, I managed to get 4 layouts, my PL title page and a double PL spread all with this one kit! Awesome!  Now, you should be off to the amazing Bonita Rose!! I'm off to check out all the inspiration!!

Favs of 2014

I've never done one of these posts, but my friend Kat has inspired me, and I must say I really enjoyed looking back over the year on my blog! So I thought I'd share with you my favs!

Here they are in no order whatsoever:

you can check out the entire mini album here

You can check out this mini here

I rarely make cards...let alone ones that I'm actually happy with, but these ones I really liked!

This is my absolute favourite canvas I have ever made. It's one of my fav verses from the bible too.

although I failed miserably this year at keeping up with a Project Life album, I really love this title page! I plan on giving it another try this year too because I really do like it!

There you have it! I'm so looking forward to see what 2015 has in store for us! Do you have any crafty resolutions? Or just resolutions in general?

My main one is to be more organized. In my crafty life and my house! It is something I struggle with sooooooo much! I'm just too creative to be organized! HA! That's always my excuse, but I do just have a really hard time with it. This is the year I'm going to tackle the organizational skills!

Happy Halloween! Cut Shoppe Giveaway and Sale!!

Good Morning and Happy Halloween!!

I'm sad to say that this is my very last post for The Cut Shoppe. I had a blast being a part of that team and I just love working with their cut files! They really are awesome!! Speaking of awesome, a bunch of girls from the team got together to give you all some Halloween inspiration over at The Cut Shoppe Blog! There's also a giveaway there too!

For my layout I used the Bumpy Night cut file for my title and I cut it out with AC POW Glitter paper. It cuts amazingly in the Cameo!!  I cut the title out twice. Once with the glitter paper and once just with black and offset them when I glued them together to give the title a bit of a shadow. I love this effect.

I love this small black chipboard spiderweb from Southern Ridge that I placed just behind my photo! It's so intricately cut, it's just so cool!

The giant spiderweb is part of the Tangled Web background cut file. I enlarged it and cut it out in black and then backed with some fun orange wood grain paper!

How cute are this ghost and bat?! They're from the same pack of goodies from Southern Ridge as the spiderweb! I painted them each and added some glitter to them and I love how fun they look!

You'll want to head over to The Cut Shoppe now and check out all the other AMAZING DT's Halloween layouts! When you're there, be sure to enter the giveaway, and there's also a SALE going on on all the Halloween cut files from now until November 3rd!!

Have a great Halloween!! Don't forget to keep your pets inside today!!

Blessings

#frankenbaby

Hey Bloggers! I'm sad to say this is my last post as a part of The Cut Shoppe Design Team. I have so enjoyed being a part of this team! I have been in awe every day since joining at the amazing work this team does on a daily basis! They're just so fabulous I can't even put it into words! I will be very sad to not be working with them anymore, but alas, all good things must come to an end sometime! So today I'm sharing my final layout (well, there MIGHT just be one more in the near future)...you never know ;)

I am IN LOVE with the Halloween files! I have a thing for background cut files. I love adding them as a layer to my layouts and the Tangled Web background made such a cool layer! I adhered it by just stitching it on in a random circle with my sewing machine. I wanted it to look even more webby and I love the effect!

I just have to pause for a moment and reflect on just how stinkin cute the subject of this layout is!! LOL He's just ADORABLE! I know I am biased, but, come on...who doesn't agree with me? lol

These two adorable speech bubbles came from the Creepy Crawly cut file. They are just too cute! I love making them pop with a bright background! If you didn't know that the Cut Shoppe has printables, then you definitely need to go check them out! The "ghosts and goblins" card right beside my little frankenbaby is one of those fab printables! I love printing them out on vellum to give them a softer look too! Love how you can see a bit of the other patterned paper through the vellum!

I also used the Chevron in a Triangle file as a mask with some translucent embossing paste. LOVE the texture it gives!

These are the files I used for this layout:

There's still time to play along with October's Cut it Out Challenge over at The Cut Shoppe blog! Head on over there and check it out!

Snips and Snails

Hey Bloggers!! I wanted to pop in and share a layout I made for The Cut Shoppe quite a few weeks ago! It totally escaped my pre posting radar! lol

I have to say this is one of my favourite pictures of my youngest son Linden. I just LOVE candid shots and this one with his cute little arm rolls and his little chubby baby body was definitely one that needed to be scrapped!

I used the "Oh Baby" cut file for this layout, but I changed it around a little bit. That's what I love about digital die cutting! You're totally not even limited to the shapes that you purchase! You can ungroup them and change them around to suit your layout! It's so fun!

Instead of using the cut file in it's original form, I ungrouped it and took out the words that were originally in it. Then I added the Snips and Snails that come in the same file and made it fit inside the star!

I backed the star with some white paper covered in a super fun washi tape from the new Echo Park "Creative Agenda" line.  Then I outlined it with a Slick Writer pen from American Crafts so it would stand out more!

I love everything about this cut file! I love the softness of it. Perfect for baby boy pages!

I'm off to a crop this weekend! Wish me luck because I messed up my back and I can't sit for very long without being in massive pain :( I'm experimenting with different drugs to see how they work! lol that sounds terrible I know, but it's not a muscular thing, I popped out a rib in my upper back, so Advil and Tylenol don't seem to help...either do muscle relaxants...so next up is the good stuff and hopefully I can find a way to make the pain go away without feeling too stoned to scrap! The last time I took Percocet I couldn't even make dinner! lol I'm scared to try them!

Anyway,  have a good weekend!!

Blessings

Clique Kits Pep Rally and Southern Ridge DT!

Good Morning Everyone!!

I hope you're as excited for the Clique Kits Blog Share as I am!! I have loved playing with this kit soooo much! It's so full of awesomeness I can barely handle it!!

I have a bit of a funny story about how this project came about...yesterday, I realized it was the 23rd of September...which means the blog share is the next day...THEN I realized that I hadn't made anything for it yet! AAAKKK!! Soooo, once the kids were in bed I got to playing with my kit and deciding what I wanted to do...well, you know when you're in a hurry and nothing ever works out for you? Yup! That was me last night! I couldn't get my pictures to print, and my computer was totally glitching out on me! Then at midnight, the baby woke up...so I went downstairs to our bedroom (because that's the only place he will sleep!) to nurse him...and guess what?! I fell asleep too!! I woke up again at 4 am when my husband's alarm clock went off! HA! So, in true hardcore scrapper fashion, I woke up to finish my project!! LOL!! This seriously could only happen to me!! LOL!!

I definitely think it was worth getting up early for...what do you think?! ;)

I wanted to make this for my oldest son Ethan. He is such an amazing big brother! I also know that now I have to make 3 more of these too! lol I got this fabulous wooden frame from Southern Ridge Trading Company. I am totally in love with it! It even comes with the squares that were cut out so you can use them for another project!!

Here are some close ups:

Not everything was from my kit. I used some Epiphany Crafts chevrons, the wood veneer, frame, and chipboard pieces are from Basic Grey and there's a couple little cards from my stash :)

This alphabet that I used is a brand new one (not even released quite yet!! You can look for it in the store tomorrow!! You're welcome for the sneak peek!! lol) from The Cut Shoppe!! I'm in LOVE with it!!!

Well there you have it!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Next stop is Alisha!!

Here's the entire line up, in case you get lost, or if you didn't start from the beginning (you really should if you haven't!!)

Blessings!!
