Happy Everything With Clique Kits

Hey Bloggers! I've been having a lot of fun playing with Clique Kit's 1st Anniversary kit Happy Everything! It's jam packed with one of my favourite manufacturers, Pink Fresh Studios! I LOVE this line! It's just amazing! It's full of  gold embossed fabulousness and bright coloured and funky patterns and you can't forget the puffy stickers...right Wendy?! lol!!

This first layout has such an old picture on it (it seems). It's from when Caleb (our 6 year old) was a baby! We took Ethan and Caleb to the carnival when it came to town, and Ethan went on the Ferris Wheel! I didn't get a good picture of him on it, but I really liked this picture, so I thought I would use it to tell the story!

You can check out my process with this layout on the Clique Kits blog here

I used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches for the first layout, but I didn't get it linked up in time to play along...lol

This next layout I had a lot of fun creating! You can see how I played with the background at the Clique Kits blog!

I'm in love with those hearts and that wood veneer! Oh! Did you see the exclusive printables that I used here? I printed them on vellum to give them a soft feel to go with this paper :) I added one of the Pink Fresh rub ons to one of the tag printables in the top right corner. Those rub ons are amazing! They're the best ones I think I've ever used!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm off to bed now...at 2 am...YIKES!

Clique Kits Pep Rally featuring J'Adore!

Good Morning!! I always love a good blog share and I can't WAIT for this one! The J'Adore kit has been my FAV FAV FAV Kit so far!!

The challenge:  Add a POP of Neon to your project! This month's kit is filled with beautiful pastels contrasted with black and white. It also mixes and matches BOLD patterns with soft watercolor brush strokes.
I think I used a POP of Neon in every one of my layouts this month! My first layout

My first layout was inspired by Kat's awesome sketch that she made for this month's anything goes challenge!

I actually made a process video for this one, but realized after I was done that it only recorded 13 minutes of it! :( Oh well, I'll try again next time!

I am in LOVE with this paper!! I haven't felt like I didn't even want to use it because I love it so much and I only have one in a long time! I need to get more for my collection! lol  I thought it was so perfect for this picture of my youngest playing with paint and marbles! I used a stencil and some modeling paste that I coloured layered underneath the picture and hand cut the word Art. I also used a super cute chalkboard heart from the Clique Kits store!

For this layout I used one of the cut files that comes with the kit. these divided shapes are so in right now and I love piecing them with different patterns to make a cool background!
For this layout, I was playing around with typography and stamps and I made that my focal point. I couldn't believe that Linden actually fell asleep in the middle of his lunch! Poor little guy! I guess that's what happens when you don't nap! lol

For this last layout, I went with an 8.5x11 and I decided to do one about my weight loss/exercise journey...I saw this quote on a mug and I knew I wanted to use it on this layout! I love how it turned out!

Well there you have it! I have had so much fun with this kit!! Thanks for stopping by! And don't forget to leave some love on everyone's blogs for a chance to win some goodies!!

Here's the blog line up!  Now onto Marcia's blog!

Scrap Our Stash and Clique Kits Unite!

Hey everyone!! It's such a gorgeous Saturday here I can't even believe I'm inside blogging!

I just wanted to pop in very quickly (so I can head out into this gorgeous weather!) to share with you a layout that I made with my fabulous amazing gorgeous March Clique Kits kit "J'Adore"! It's my Favourite Favourite Favourite kit so far! I have absolutely LOVED working with it, and it SOLD OUT! Yup! So now, the only way you can get your hands on this kit is to play along with Scrap Our Stash's S.T.E.N.C.I.L challenge for a chance to WIN one!!

All you have to do to play along is create a layout with an  item from your stash for every letter in the word STENCIL and link it up to win!

I used:
 Stitching
Tape
Envelope
Numbers
Circles
Ink
Letters

I had some fun channeling my inner Missy Whidden on this layout! I just LOVE her style!! I used a stencil that I had in my stash (I believe it was a crafter's companion one), and some matte medium to create a resist with gelatos! I absolutely adore my gelatos and I don't use them enough! I am about to change that! lol

I love the look of stitching on layouts. It adds such a whimsical touch! I also just placed some little balled up bits of thread here and there to give the layout more texture :)

These word stickers that are in the kit are amazing!! They're even embossed just like the old label makers!

One of the add ons from the kit is this clear enamel word "love" which I coloured with some alcohol inks and layered it over the love on that journaling card :)

I've renewed my love for my manual die cutter, so I cut out these gears with vellum and placed them here and there too :)

I had a tiny bit of a black doily left and I wasn't about to let any of it go to waste, so I placed bits of it around my photo to frame it :)

There you have it! I'm off to enjoy this weather!!

Don't forget to play along with Scrap Our Stash to win one of these awesome kits!!

Enjoy your life

Good Morning Bloggers! I hope you're having an awesome Saturday! I'm heading off to have some scrappy time with my girlfriends, but I wanted to pop in and share this layout first!

I made this layout the other night after I got my fancy new Big Shot! I traded my aunt for my Vagabond...She bought me this brand spankin new Big Shot, for my Vagabond! I know, she got a great deal, but I just never use it because I have to plug it in and I don't have a lot of outlets in my house, so this is way more practical!

I bought this Tim Holtz alphabet die a long time ago! I can't even remember right now which one it is, but I love it because it's a bigz die and it can cut through some pretty thick material! I had a paper pad from My Mind's Eye that I got from the Clique Kits store (which is only 3 bucks right now!), and I wanted to use it to cut out the whole alphabet to make my background! I love the way it turned out!

How stinkin cute are these little crochet bows?! I just love how they add some added texture and dimension to my layout!

I've had these Basic Grey Highline Chalkboard embellishements for a while now and I just pulled them out. I really love how they look on this layout! I think I'm going to have to dig into them some more! I used another one on a different layout that I will share with you on another post! They're kind of my new favourite thing!

I love these 3x4 project life cards for layout titles! They make a quick and easy eye catching title!

I'm playing along with a boys only/girls only challenge over at Scrapbook.com too!

Well, I'm off to go scrapbook with my girls! Have a Crafty Weekend!!

Clique Kits Pep Ralley Featuring Punxutawney!!

Good Morning Bloggers! I'm so excited to be a part of this month's blog share! I can't wait to hop along too! This kit is so full of goodies, I just love it! Sadly, I haven't had much play time with it though...until this weekend! I'm going to another crop and I will be bringing my Clique Kits!

If you didn't start off at the beginning, head on over to the Clique Kits Blog and start from there!!

The challenge:  February is the month of love, which of course means gifts of sweet treats all around! Don't forget that in addition to Valentine's Day on February 14th, there is also Galantine's Day on February 13th! This new holiday was founded by none other than Amy Pohler (Parks and Recreation's Leslie Knope) one of my all time favorite non-scrapbooking related celebrities! The February kit contains so many fun sweet treat elements like ice cream cones and my personal favorite...donuts! So, this month's challenge is to use something SWEET in a project! Bonus points if you too celebrate Galentine's Day with your BFF's! I actually had a picture taken of my sister, grandma, mom and I when we went out for lunch on Galentine's Day and I fully planned on scrapping it, but life has had different plans for me...

I did get this layout done earlier of my 6 year old Caleb when he was a baby! I can't believe how fast time flies! So, I think this counts for something sweet! lol He's too sweet for words, and there's a pineapple on the page! Those can be sweet treats can't they? :) I'm on a clean eating kick right now, so if I wanted something sweet, that's about as good as it gets! HA!

I had posted in the Clique a while ago about current trends that I wasn't crazy about, and Pineapples were on that list...actually, it was the only thing on the list! lol If there's ever something that I'm not loving in the scrapbooking world, it usually ends up growning on me...it's no different with the pineapples! lol I absolutely LOVE this little gold embossed fruit!

How awesome is this black flower washi? If you don't usually follow my blog, you might not know of my slight severe washi addiction, and this one really did NEED to be in my collection!

I just love these die cuts that came in the kit too! They all come in white, so you can leave them white, or alter them to your liking! I used a water brush and dipped it into my Heidi Swapp Color Shine to peach this puppy up! I love how it turned out!

Here's the line up for the hop. If you haven't started at the beginning, you really should! And don't forget to leave some love for everyone too! One lucky commenter will be winning a prize!

Lucky in Love

Happy Saturday my crafty friends! I hope you're enjoying your weekend!! We've already been to hockey and back, I've gone for a run and now I've got to get working on laundry, so naturally I'm procrastinating and sharing a layout I made last night! That's right, I scrapped last night and I was so happy!! I have been dying to scrapbook lately, but it seems like I'm exhausted once I finally have any time! So last night I was full of energy and managed to get some play time in!

I'm using up more of my Clique Kits Limited Edition We Go Together Kit and also some of the goodies that were added to the shop in February!

I used a small cup that I dipped into black paint to make the circles on the white cardstock. I dried it with my heat gun because I'm super impatient! Once it was dry I used my watercolours to fill in a few of the circles to make this super fun background!
Here's some more close ups:

Once I was all done stitching my layout, I mixed some black acrylic paint with water to make it more fluid and I dripped and splattered it onto my page. Here's a tip that I should really listen to myself: when you're splattering an already finished layout...COVER THE PHOTO!! lol I ended up splatting a big old blob of paint right on my face!! lol Good thing we live in a digital age and all I had to do was print another photo!

The February Anything Goes Challenge is up now at Clique Kits! Be sure to head over there and link up your project! There's a very sweet prize up for grabs this month too!

If you're doing some shopping, make sure you enter the coupon code SARAH10 for a 10% discount!

Thanks for stopping by!!

A Valentine's Mini Album!

Hello my crafty friends! I wanted to share a super cute mini album using the glassine bags that came in the Clique Kits (sold out!!)  We Go Together Kit!! This kit is jam packed full of awesome goodies! It made making this mini for my husband for Valentine’s Day quite easy!

How cute is this little tag with the kiss rub on and the adorable little fringes that came in the kit?! That’s one of the many reasons I love Clique Kits! They always add these really amazing little touches to their kits!

I just love all the adorable ephemera in the Elle’s Studio die cut pack and the wood veneer?! *sigh* LOVE!

We go together like…Milk and Cookies! How cute is that?!

I love all the mushy sayings and phrases on the die cut pieces too!

Also, how cool is that cork?! LOVE IT!!

We’re kind of goofy, I know! lol Actually, when I went to make this mini, I vowed that Chris and I would take more selfies because I had to really hunt for the ones I found here!

This little typewriter is one of my fav stickers that came in the kit! I just love that it’s typing out a heart shaped I love you! So cute!

again…wood veneer love! I can’t get enough of these!

This was the last page. An actual professional photo! Woohoo!

I I love that the glassine bags are partially see through, and I thought it would be a cool way to show off the patterned papers that I wanted to use, so I cut some of the patterned paper into tags to use on the inside of my album, and I wrote bible verses about love on them :)  each page has a different one :)

What are your plans for Valentine's Day? My husband is working, so no plans. We don't usually make a big deal about Valentine's Day, we kind of think that you shouldn't need an exuse to be nice to the one you love ;) But it is fun to have an excuse to go out for dinner or something! lol

Be sure to stop by the Clique Kits blog in the next couple days to see some more projects I've made with the Special Edition We Go Together Kit!!

Blessings!
