A Valentine's Mini Album!

Hello my crafty friends! I wanted to share a super cute mini album using the glassine bags that came in the Clique Kits (sold out!!)  We Go Together Kit!! This kit is jam packed full of awesome goodies! It made making this mini for my husband for Valentine’s Day quite easy!

How cute is this little tag with the kiss rub on and the adorable little fringes that came in the kit?! That’s one of the many reasons I love Clique Kits! They always add these really amazing little touches to their kits!

I just love all the adorable ephemera in the Elle’s Studio die cut pack and the wood veneer?! *sigh* LOVE!

We go together like…Milk and Cookies! How cute is that?!

I love all the mushy sayings and phrases on the die cut pieces too!

Also, how cool is that cork?! LOVE IT!!

We’re kind of goofy, I know! lol Actually, when I went to make this mini, I vowed that Chris and I would take more selfies because I had to really hunt for the ones I found here!

This little typewriter is one of my fav stickers that came in the kit! I just love that it’s typing out a heart shaped I love you! So cute!

again…wood veneer love! I can’t get enough of these!

This was the last page. An actual professional photo! Woohoo!

I I love that the glassine bags are partially see through, and I thought it would be a cool way to show off the patterned papers that I wanted to use, so I cut some of the patterned paper into tags to use on the inside of my album, and I wrote bible verses about love on them :)  each page has a different one :)

What are your plans for Valentine's Day? My husband is working, so no plans. We don't usually make a big deal about Valentine's Day, we kind of think that you shouldn't need an exuse to be nice to the one you love ;) But it is fun to have an excuse to go out for dinner or something! lol

Be sure to stop by the Clique Kits blog in the next couple days to see some more projects I've made with the Special Edition We Go Together Kit!!

Blessings!

P.S. I Love You

Good Morning!

I wanted to stop by to share a layout that was on The Cut Shoppe blog yesterday using the super cute cut file  "A Walk in the Clouds" and "Let Love In" Printables!! I am in love with both of these files!!  I'm on a vellum kick lately and I love the dreamy feel it gives to this layout of my 8 year old reading to his two younger brothers before bed!

I cut the clouds out from the bokeh vellum from Crate paper. I loved that paper so much I just had to buy two! lol  I really love how it turned out!

I had some of these chipboard clouds from October Afternoon kickin around, so I stamped them with a text background stamp and some mint ink to add a little interest!

I also printed the printable on vellum and I have to say, I'm hooked! So love the softness of vellum! It's my new bff ;)

Thank you so much for stopping by! I really appreciate you taking the time to visit my little neck of the web!
Blessings

We Wear Short Shorts ;)

 Good Morning Bloggers!!

Are you ready for Summer Camp Nerd Style?! We had so much fun last year that we knew we wanted to do it again! So head on over to Scrapbook Nerd Forum and join the fun! There's lots of prizes up for grabs including a 50 dollar grand prize gift certificate to the store, so you definitely don't want to miss out!!

My first challenge is a Campfire Song challenge! You have to create a layout using song lyrics for your title! Any song will do!  I thought this song would be perfect for this hilarious picture of Kieran wearing the shortest shorts I've ever seen! When I came to pick him up from preschool his teacher told me that he had gotten his pants wet when they went to the lake and these shorts were all she had for him to wear! I laughed so hard when I saw him wearing them! He wouldn't let me take a picture of him wearing them until I told him I'd give him a dime! Then he happily smiled for the camera! lol What he will do for money!

and some close ups :)

I really hope you can find some time to come and play with us @ Scrapbook Nerd!! Get your camping gear ready and head over there!!

I can't wait to see what you create!

Blessings!

Dog Days of Summer

Good Morning!

When I saw this sketch from Creative Scrappers  I knew I wanted to play along! It's such a great sketch because you can add without distraction! Sometimes I find that if a sketch is too busy, it's easy to just create a layout exactly as the sketch looks. Don't get me wrong, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but it is nice to have some creative license with your sketches and this one lets you do exactly that!

I knew I wanted to create a subway art style design with all of these fun die cuts. It's a great way to add interest in a lot of different dimensions and it also really helps put a bit of a dent in the die cut stash! lol I used the new Crate Paper Open Road collection and the Boys Rule collection for most of the die cuts. I love how these two go together so well!

I had fun playing with a new mask I got at the crop last week too (I can't remember which one, but it's from Crafter's Workshop! lol)

I'm really happy with how this layout turned out :)

Well, I'm off! Lucky me, I get to go to another crop today! Two weekends in a row! I'm pretty blessed with amazing family that helps me out with the kids!

Have an awesome weekend!!

Blessings

Teeny Gamer

Hey bloggers! I got a little time to play last night and I couldn't wait to play with the fabulous new Crate Paper line, Boys Rule! It's a huuuge favourite of mine, and one I know I can use over and over again!! I also wanted to play along with the Creative Scrappers Sketch #264:

This sketch is so fun and funky, I had a blast playing around with it! I snapped this photo in January when I came into the living room and he had managed to open and turn on Ethan's DS and he was staring at it ever so intently! I thought it was such a cute picture because it totally looks like he's already into gaming! His Uncle Brian would be proud!! lol

I used the whole line of Boys Rule for this layout. The only things that aren't from Crate are the wood veneer triangles (SC), the washi (I wante to say it's MME, but I could be wrong!), the red and white enamel dot thingies (can't remember what they're called sorry!!), and the black gesso (Claudine Hellmuth).

I cut a square, and a rectangle out of my base paper and backed it with the star vellum paper. I am sooooo loving the printed vellum paper!!

Well, I'm off for a walk with Ethan and Linden while the littles are in preschool!!

Blessings

February Scrapbook Nerd Reveal

Hey there my fellow Nerds! I'm up today at Scrapbook Nerd with my kit reveal! This month they gave me Crate Paper's Bundled Up collection to work with. This is one of my favourite holiday collections so far! I love that you can use it for winter layouts, Christmas layouts and everyday layouts too!

For my first layout, I used this fab sketch from Creative Scrappers

"My 3 Snow Angels"

I wanted to try the Ferro metalic texture paint on this layout, so I got out my Tim Holtz star stencil and a putty knife and painted it on in a few different places on this layout. That was the first time I had ever tried this stuff, and I tell you, I'm totally hooked! I LOVE it! The texture it gives is amazing and it just looks so cool!

For my second layout, I scraplifted another one of Juliana Michael's layouts! I absolutely LOVED this one and I really wanted to add my own take to it!

You would never even know that this was a winter/holiday paper line from this layout! I really like that you can stretch your stash with this line and use it for more than what it's made for!

"Early Morning Kisses"

Again I used a different colour of the Ferro Metalic Texture paint here and the Tim Holtz clock stencil. Sooooo loving it!

For this last layout I used a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches

"Sleigh Ride"

Last weekend we took the kids for a sleigh ride and I couldn't wait to scrapbook these photos! This paper was perfect for it I do believe!!

I do hope you stop by the Scrapbook Nerd forum and check out the rest of the design team's reveals! There are some fabulous layouts and tons of inspiration!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Blessings,
