fall ferry

Hey Hey Bloggers! I wanted to share a layout I made while playing along with Life.Paper.Scrapbook's
November Colour Challenge. You can head over to their blog for the challenge details.
These pictures were taken last November before I knew I was pregnant...about 30lbs ago! *sigh* I'm currently working on getting that and then some back off ;) all in due time!!

Anyway, Chris and I went on a very quick trip to the Island to help a friend move her stuff over there. I haven't been on a ferry since I was 5 years old, and my mom took the kids for the weekend, so it was really fun for Chris and I to relax and spend some time together as a couple!

I am currently blogging this with one hand while holding and nursing Linden with my other hand, so it's going to be a very short but sweet post today!! LOL I know, I'm pretty talented!! ;)

Thanks a lot for stopping by!!

Blessings,

Sarah

Last up for Halloween

This has been kickin around my desk for a week or so at least and I've been trying to finish it up, but I have to admit that after Halloween is over (no matter how much I love it), I am not into scrapping it anymore! But I started it, so I wanted to finish it! So slowly but surely I got it done!

These pictures are now 9 years old, because we have just celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary this Halloween! Yes that's right, we got married on Halloween! We had a traditional wedding ceremony, then a costume reception. It was sooo much fun!

I'm pretty happy with the way my title worked out because I went to use the white letters and I was missing an "r", so I cut the top off a "j" and turned it upside down, and voila! For the word "nuptuals" I realized I was out of "a's" but I found that if you turn a small "g" upside down it looks like an "a" too! Woohoo! Gotta love using up old letters! :)

Believe it or not, I was inspired by this sketch from the Paper Bakery

I started off with this in mind but ended up going a completely different way with it! Well at least there's two pictures and the title is in the same place as the sketch!! LOL

Well I'm off to pick up my oldest from a birthday party!
Have a great rest of the weekend!!
Blessings,

Sarah

*heart* this day

I thought I would share a layout today that I made quite some time ago, but realized it never made it to the blog! My husband took this picture of me when we went on our weekend with no kids this summer just before Linden was born. We camped in a small cabin on Timothy Lake and relaxed and went fishing and I caught my first fish! I haaate touching fish! But I really wanted to get a picture of this! So I sucked it up and stuck my finger in the fish's mouth and got the picture! lol

Just a quick post today, but stay tuned, because I have a surprise to tell you soon!!

PS: Anyone doing Elf on the Shelf with your kids this year for Christmas? I just bought one and I'm so excited to start!! Let me know what you're ideas are if you have any!

Hello May? A little behind!

Hellooo Bloggers! I just wanted to stop in and share a layout I made quite a while ago actually! I made this using a whole bunch of goodies that Scrapbook Nerd sent me! When I saw the pocket pages in this kit, I knew I wanted to do my own take on Project Life for this layout. Instead of it being a weekly layout, I made it for the month. The hardest thing about this layout was trying to narrow down the pictures! Apparently we did quite a bit of fun stuff in May!

These pocket pages are so fun and they really make a layout come together super quick! I really love that because I have way more pictures than time! lol

Well, that's it for today! I have to go put in a load of laundry and go do some errands in town.

Blessings!

The Boo Crew and a Cutie Update

Can you believe my little man is almost 3 months old?!
Time just goes by way too fast for this mama!! Part of me is sad that he's not a newborn anymore...the other part of me is looking forward to new stages and seasons in our life :)

Isn't he SOOOOO CUTE?!?!?! I kinda wanna eat him! ;)~

I love that he's starting to smile and coo! Now all he needs to do is learn how to nap and he will be perfect! Today I had to vacuum while holding him in my arms...oh, and he just woke up now! lol

Quickly now! I made this layout for the sketch over at Chic Tags.

It's a hot mess of layers! lol I just got that Chic Tags stamp with the heart in the middle, so I wanted to use it on this layout. I used my Tim Holtz Distress Pens to colour the stamp so I could get a few colours on there. Then for one of them I used my large circle epiphany crafts thingy and made a little flair out of it. Then I made another one and punched the center out with the small circle epiphany crafts thingy...then I added a brad and a speech bubble to the one I punched out and made another embellie with that on the top part of my page!

The word "crew" was orignally white, but I wanted it to stand out more so I used some Colour Shine and painted over the letters a bit to colour it up ;)

I mixed some colour shine with modge podge and sponged through the Paper Bakery Stencil to create the arrows on the top and bottom of my photo.

I'm also going to link this up at Paper Issues for their "Halloween Hootenany"

Well, there you have it! I'm looking forward to Halloween this year (we're also having a Halloween party this weekend, so I will have a TON of pics to scrap!)

Gotta go get the baby...he didn't go back to sleep after all! lol

A Delightful Sketch :)

I have been so busy these days with swimming lessons and hockey and school, not to mention baby, but I am really trying to make sure I get in some scrapbooking here and there. I think it might just be what keeps me sane! lol So I decided to play along with Artful Delight and their fun sketch! I love a sketch that is super simple and leaves it open to interpretation!

I have so many pictures of Ethan on the swings at the park, because he just really loved it when he was really little! He still does, only now he can pump and doesn't need a push anymore...although he still likes it when we push him too!  I really liked this picture of him with his dad behind him giving him a big push, and I'm trying to not only scrap my most recent pictures, but get some of the old ones into albums too, so when I saw this sketch I thought this picture would be perfect for it!

I used a little bit of everything on this layout, some basic grey and pink paislee papers, some studio calico cork stickers and rub ons and some lawn fawn leaf confetti, some chic tags and a fun little "boy" flair that I got in my studio calico kit, but my favorite thing about this layout is that sentiment "Smiling's My Favorite" from a Mama Elephant stamp set. I saw that sentiment on another layout a while ago and I can't even remember which blog it was on, but as soon as I saw it I had to have it because it's my favorite line from the movie "Elf" I love it when he says "I love smiling. Smiling's my favorite" That whole movie is just awesome, so when I found out that sentiment existed I hunted it down right away and ordered it! The set actually has some really awesome pieces in it too, so it was a bonus!!

Here's a couple close ups:

Well, I hope I've inspired you to get scrapping! I'm off to bed now :)

Blessings
