I have to tell you that I can't get enough of Alison Kreft's Capture Life collection for Echo Park! It is one of my favourite lines right now! I love all the fun chevrons and wood grains and scripty goodness! Aaaahh! It's just so great!!
The Honor Society's challenge this month (by the way, how cool is it that they have these fun challenges for kit club members?!) Anyway, their challenge for us this month is called "Captured on Film" and we are supposed to use filmstrips, viewfinders, or polaroids on our layouts or scrapbook something about a film/theater...you get the point! Anyway, I decided to play along with this challenge and I used this fun view finder from the sticker sheet that comes in the kit, only I altered it a little with a circle punch over the ampersand that was there and then I backed it with the same paper I punched the circle out of! add some flair for dimension and you've got a cute little embellie! ;)
My second layout came about from me playing along with a one hour challenge over at Scrapbook Nerd, and I was surprised it actually only took me about half an hour including choosing the pictures and paper! That's the awesome thing about kits, they take all the guess work out of picking your papers and embellishments!
My 8 year old is getting to the point where he's not super stoked to have his picture taken all the time, but every once in a while I can catch him doing something silly still!
My third layout I did about the start of our vacation this year. I always seem to take a selfie of Chris and I whenever we're in the car on our way to whatever vacation we're taking, so I thought I'd document that!
Can I just say that I am IN LOVE with these awesome Pink Fresh alphabets that came in the kit?! They're soooo fab!!
And my last layout I had in my last blog post, but I had to share it here again because it's part of the kit too! This thin gold washi tape might just be my new best friend!! I've used it on EVERY layout I've done since I got it!
Well that's it for me! I hope you enjoyed the Blog Share and got some major inspiration! Maybe next time you'll join us too! I'm off to check out the rest of these fabulous ladies' blogs!!
Blessings
